New traffic rule in Delhi, 50% of challan will have to be paid before going to court, if you don’t agree then it will be expensive.

E-Challan New Rule In Delhi: Although the government keeps changing the traffic rules from time to time, now some new rules have come in Delhi which have been made more strict. According to government rules, if a person wants to challenge his traffic challan in the court, then it will be mandatory for him to deposit 50% of his challan amount. Due to which the settlement of challan will be faster and the system will also be made more effective.

It’s okay to delay now

According to the statement issued from the office of Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, it has been decided to take strict action against those who delay in paying the challan. It has also been added to the rule that now digital reminders will be sent to people daily on pending challans. So that there is no delay in filling the challan. The Chief Minister has warned that any delay in paying traffic challan will now prove costly for the people, in view of which it will become mandatory to pay the fine within the prescribed limit.

What will happen if the fine is not paid?

If for some reason you are not able to pay the challan within the stipulated time, its consequences will be quite serious. Those who violate the rules, services like road tax, driving license renewal and registration will be delayed or stopped. Along with this, the vehicle on which the challan is issued will be marked as banned on the official portal, due to which future purchase, sale or transfer of the vehicle will be prohibited. Along with this, in some cases the court can also confiscate the vehicle.

Strict action against those who repeatedly break rules

Now the government is preparing for changes in the Central Motor Vehicles Rules 1989. By making changes in the new rule, it has been said that if a person breaks traffic rules 5 or more times in a year, then he will be seen as a serious offender. In such a situation, the driving license can be suspended or even cancelled. From which one thing is clear that the government will no longer tolerate negligence at all.

45 day rule and new court process

According to the new rules, after the challan is issued, you will have to either pay the fine or challenge it online within 45 days. If the person does not do any of these, the challan will automatically be considered accepted. However, if you are one of those people who want to appeal in the court, then before that you will be required to deposit 50% of the fine. After the coming of the rule, additional fine and legal action will be taken against anyone who does not follow the deadline.

The system will be completely digital

The government has further strengthened its e-challan system. In which from now on challan will be issued through surveillance cameras and automatic system, apart from this the traffic police can also issue challan on the spot. All records linked to challan will be entered online, so that transparency can be maintained and it can be used for accountability. Along with this, all the vehicle owners are also being advised to keep their mobile numbers and all the documents updated so that they can get the notice on time and the reply can also be sent on time.

What is the purpose of this change?

The only reason behind the government bringing such new rules is to maintain road safety and strictly follow traffic rules. With the advent of this new and advanced system, disputes will be resolved quickly and even those who do not care about the rules will get a lesson for repeatedly breaking the rules.
