New Delhi, May 5, 2026 – cyber security and to enhance digital forensics capabilities UIDAI and NFSU An agreement has been signed between. Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) and National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) have joined hands for a five-year structured collaboration in the areas of digital forensics, cyber security and advanced technology research.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) provides a comprehensive framework for collaboration and brings together the two key national institutions to further strengthen the cyber resilience of UIDAI’s digital infrastructure, which is the foundation of India’s digital identity ecosystem.
CEO of UIDAI, Mr. Vivek Chandra Verma and Director of NFSU Gujarat Campus, Prof. (Dr.) S.O. A memorandum of understanding was exchanged between Junare. UIDAI Deputy Director General Mr. Abhishek Kumar Singh and many senior officials from both the parties were present in this ceremony.
This cooperation will focus on six key strategic pillars
- Educational and professional development
- Information security and system integrity
- Excellence in forensic infrastructure and laboratories
- Technical Support for Cyber Security Activities
- Technical advisory services and research — including joint research in emerging areas such as AI, blockchain, deepfake detection and cryptographic technology
- Strategic placement and outreach — which will create pathways for NFSU students to access placements and opportunities.
Mr. Vivek Chandra Verma, CEO, UIDAI, said, “This collaboration is an important step towards further strengthening the security, resilience and forensic capabilities supporting India’s digital public infrastructure and ensuring greater security measures for India’s digital identity systems.”
