Now it takes 17-18 hours
At present, testing is still being done. Before running the train, its speed, safety and working method will be checked. Only after this it will be opened for passengers. This trial is being considered a special achievement of Indian Railways. After the commencement of this service, a lot of time will be saved for those traveling from Bengal to Delhi. As of now, the fastest trains running on this route are Howrah Rajdhani Express and Sealdah Rajdhani Express. But despite this, these trains still take 17-18 hours.

The journey will be completed in 15 hours
The journey from Delhi to Howrah in Vande Bharat train is expected to be completed in just 15 hours. With this the target of 100th Vande Bharat train will also be reached. Better connectivity will be available to Delhi and Kolkata (Howrah).
