Important decisions taken in Modi cabinet meeting: Big gift given to sugarcane and cotton farmers, approval to two new semiconductor units

New Delhi. The Modi government at the Center has approved important economic decisions on Tuesday. Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has given information about these important decisions after the cabinet meeting. These decisions mainly include aviation sector, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME), agricultural policies and maritime infrastructure, which are considered very important for the overall development of the country and to accelerate employment generation.

The Central Government Cabinet has approved several important decisions in the recent meeting, on which a total of about Rs 1.52 lakh crore will be spent. Modi government has given a big gift to cotton farmers. Under this, Rs 5,659 crore will now be spent on Kapas Kanti Mission to increase cotton production. This cotton revolution will change the fortunes of more than 32 lakh farmers. A decision has also been taken regarding the Fair and Remunerative Price (FRP) of sugarcane for the 2026-27 season.

At the same time, the government has also taken big steps on the technical and maritime infrastructure front. The Cabinet has approved setting up of two new semiconductor units named ‘Crystal’ and ‘Suchi’ with a total project cost of Rs 3,936 crore.
