NASA’s Hubble captured pictures of ‘Lightsaber’ in space, know what it is

The Hubble Space Telescope of the American space agency NASA (NASA) has shared an amazing picture of the universe. In this scene, two rays of light are seen shining like a mysterious sword, which reminds of the ‘Lightsaber’ of the movie ‘Star Wars’.

Scientifically, these glowing rays are powerful streams (jets) of energy emanating from newborn stars. When these jets collide at high speed with clouds of gas and dust present in space, ‘Herbig-Haro objects’ are formed. Hubble has taken special pictures of these objects named HH 24 and HH 111. These beams of light emerging from between thick layers of dust appear as if a warrior has waved his shining sword in the midst of darkness.

According to scientists, these powerful jets come out when power is awakened in newly born stars. These jets collide with the surrounding material and create bright and colorful patterns.

Hubble has taken two pictures, in the first picture of which a cloudy area of space is seen glowing orange. The light of one of the jets is passing in an oblique direction, which looks very attractive. In the second picture, an oblique blue thread-like light i.e. filament is clearly visible on the black background through the light red haze of gas and dust. This blue filament appears to glow like a lightsaber.

The Hubble Space Telescope has seen these objects before, but the new images have better clarity of colors and details. These images help scientists understand the formation process of young stars and their surrounding environments. Scientists say that such jets play a very important role in the early stages of the evolution of stars. These jets not only affect the surrounding gas but also shape the process of new star formation.
