IPL 2026: Stormy innings by Clausen and Ishaan, Hyderabad gave the target of 236 runs to Punjab.

On the strength of the explosive batting of Heinrich Klaasen (69), Ishan Kishan (55), Travis Head (38) and Abhishek Sharma (35), Sunrisers Hyderabad scored a huge score of 235 runs for four wickets against Punjab Kings in the 49th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on Wednesday. Here today Punjab Kings won the toss and decided to bowl first.

Coming to bat, the opening pair of Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head made a blazing start for Sunrisers Hyderabad and added 54 runs for the first wicket. Lockie Ferguson broke this partnership by dismissing Abhishek Sharma in the fourth over. Abhishek Sharma scored (35) runs in 13 balls, hitting two fours and four sixes. After this, in the seventh over, Yuzvendra Chahal made Travis Head his victim.

Travis Head scored (38) in 19 balls, hitting three fours and three sixes. After this, Punjab players Ishan Kishan and Heinrich Klaasen performed poorly and dropped many catches. Arshdeep Singh dismissed Ishan Kishan in the 15th over. Ishan Kishan played an inning of 55 runs in 32 balls, hitting two fours and four sixes.

Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 235 runs for four wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Heinrich Klaasen was caught out on the last ball of the innings. Clausen played an inning of 69 runs in 43 balls with the help of three fours and four sixes. Nitish Kumar Reddy scored unbeaten 29 runs in 13 balls, hitting two fours and two sixes. For Punjab Kings, Arshdeep Singh, Lockie Ferguson, Vijaykumar Vaishak and Yajuvendra Chahal dismissed one batsman each.
