Ipl 2026 Rcb Wins Toss Against Lsg Elects To Bowl

In the 50th match of IPL 2026, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are facing Royal Challengers Bangalore on Thursday. At the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, RCB captain Rajat Patidar won the toss and decided to bowl first.

RCB has not made any changes in its playing eleven for this match. After winning the toss, captain Rajat said, “We will bowl first. It is not as fast a pitch as Chinnaswamy but still fast. The surface looks good and we will try to restrict them to low scores. The break was good. Everyone is doing well and we have had some hard practice. We are playing with the same team.”

LSG has made three changes in its playing eleven. Mohsin Khan, Josh Inglis and Avesh Khan are not playing this match due to injury. After losing the toss, captain Pant said, “There have been some changes in our team. Inglis, Avesh and Mohsin Khan are out due to injury.

We know we are a top team, but the most important thing is clarity. We have made some changes in the batting order. It is important to have a stable environment, but we need to make changes sometimes. “It looks like a 180-190 wicket, a better wicket than most other matches.”

RCB has played a total of 9 matches so far this season, out of which the team has won 6. At the same time, the team has faced defeat in 3 matches. In the last match, RCB had to face defeat against Gujarat Titans.

Virat Kohli has also appeared in excellent form in batting this season. At the same time, Devdutt Padikkal is also continuously making important contributions with the bat. In bowling, the pair of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood have troubled the batsmen a lot. Krunal Pandya and Suyash Sharma have also proved effective in the spin department.

On the other hand, LSG is at the bottom of the points table after registering just 2 wins out of 9 in IPL 2026. Lucknow Super Giants will have to win this match at any cost to remain in the race for the playoffs.

The team’s bowlers failed to defend the target of 229 runs against Mumbai Indians. Mohammed Shami, Mohsin Khan and Avesh Khan proved to be very expensive. However, Nicholas Pooran appeared in good form for the first time this season and played a strong inning of 63 runs in 21 balls against Mumbai Indians. Whereas, Mitchell Marsh had contributed 44 runs in 25 balls.

Playing XI of Royal Challengers Bangalore: Jacob Bethel, Virat Kohli, Devdutt Padikkal, Rajat Patidar (captain), Jitesh Sharma (wicketkeeper), Krunal Pandya, Romario Shepherd, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Suyyash Sharma, Rasikh Salam Dar and Josh Hazlewood.
