LSG vs RCB, IPL 2026: Arguably the most prolific run-getter in Indian Premier League (IPL) history, Virat Kohli has notched up a rare duck in an IPL match. Lucknow Super Giants’ (LSG) new-ball bowler Prince Yadav got the prized scalp of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) batting stalwart, dismissing him for a two-ball duck. Given the 37-year-old’s prolific run and producing enormous amount of runs season after season, it is certainly wondering when did Kohli last score a duck in the IPL.
LSG vs RCB, IPL 2026: When did Virat Kohli last score a duck in the IPL?
It was in the 2023 edition at the Chinnaswamy Stadium that the former Royal Challengers captain bagged a duck when then Rajasthan Royals’ new-ball bowler got Kohli, trapping him lbw and walked off without reviewing as the decision was easy for the umpire. Against LSG, Prince Yadav produced an absolute jaffa as the nip-backer flummoxed Kohli to disturb the off-stump. The right-hander has still amassed 379 runs in 10 innings with three fifties, still making himself as the leading run-getter of the season for the defending champions.

LSG vs RCB, IPL 2026: How much has the Lucknow Super Giants set to win for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Ekana Stadium?
Having won the toss at the Ekana Stadium, RCB captain Rajat Patidar inserted the home side into bat. While Mitchell Marsh played flawlessly, his opening partner, Arshin Kulkarni struggled to keep up and was eventually dismissed for 17 off 23 deliveries. Despite a couple of rain-forced breaks, Marsh brought up his hundred off only 49 deliveries and eventually departed for 111 to set the tone for the Super Giants. Nicholas Pooran (38) and Rishabh Pant (32) provided the finishing touches to lift their side to 209/3 in 19 overs, with the last over cut down due to rain.
The DLS method meant that the Royal Challengers have been set 213 to win off their stipulated 19 overs. Before Kohli, Jacob Bethell departed for 4 in the very first over, snapped by Mohammed Shami. Should the Royal Challengers win, they will move to the top of the points table, while a defeat for LSG will officially knock them out of playoffs race.
