State hospitals will get 1220 new doctors, selection list released for 1832 posts, biggest result declared so far…

Madhya Pradesh:- Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has declared the result of Medical Officer Recruitment Examination. This selection result released by the Commission is considered to be the biggest result till date, because more than four thousand candidates were called for interview for 1832 posts. Two interview panels conducted the interviews of the candidates within 45 days. Within a month of completion of the process, the Commission prepared the result in two parts, in which the result of 87 percent of the main part has been declared.
Interview Process and Selection Details
The Commission had scheduled interviews for the post of Medical Officer from January 27. 4047 candidates were called for 1832 posts. This process continued till April 10. On Friday, the Commission released the list of candidates selected in the interview, which includes 87 percent (1649 posts) of the main candidates. Out of 1649, there are 384 General, 225 SC, 642 ST, 197 OBC, 201 EWS posts. But 1220 candidates have been selected. Whereas 186 candidates have been kept in the waiting list.
Hope of improvement in health services and the problem of reservation
Officials believe that selection of medical officers on such a large scale will strengthen the health services of the state. With the shortage of doctors in hospitals getting resolved, health facilities in rural and urban areas are likely to improve. Commission’s OSD Ravindra Panchbhai says that due to OBC reservation, the result of 13 percent provisional part has not been declared.
