IPL 2026 DC vs KKR Playing 11: Mukesh Replaces Natrajan
IPL 2026 DC vs KKR Playing 11: Axar Patel-led Kolkata Knight Riders will square off against Ajinkya Rahane-led Kolkata Knight Riders in the 51st Match on May 08 at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi.
Despite a good start, the Delhi Capitals are losing momentum in the mid-phase of the league, having won only 4 out of 10 games.
Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders had a disappointing campaign, however they turned tables as they come from back to back victories.
They have only 3 wins out of 9 games and are in need of win in all the remaining game to keep their playoff chances alive.
With Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders are positioned in the 7th and 8th position of the IPL 2026 points table, the win in the upcoming game could have a positive impact on their qualification scenario.
KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane said, “We are going to bowl first. Last 3 games whatever we saw was quite different. 264, 160 and then low scoring game against RCB as well. It’s important to see the wicket, see how it’s playing and then it gets easier to bat on. It’s all about playing good cricket for 40 overs.”

Meanwhile, DC captain Axar Patel said, “It doesn’t matter to me much. Toss is not in your hands. As a team, you have to be ready to bat first or ball first.
“We have 2 changes. Mukesh comes in place of Natarajan. Vipraj Nigam comes in place of Karun Nair. I don’t think it doesn’t spin much here in Delhi. The ball holds a bit. The spinners get little help. The seamers also use slow bouncers or slower balls.”
“Everyone plays professional cricket. There is not much of a tactical change. If you bowl bad balls, you will get hit for a boundary. Even, the batters hit you 90m. So, I feel you have to focus on bowling a good ball,” concluded Axar Patel.
