On the basis of excellent performance in the match, Kolkata Knight Riders registered their fourth win in 10 matches. The team now has 9 points in its account due to one match being canceled due to rain. With this win, KKR has overtaken Delhi Capitals and secured seventh position. However, the team’s net run rate -0.169 still remains a matter of concern.
It is a matter of relief for KKR that it still has four matches left. If the team performs well consistently, it can reach 17 points and make a strong claim in the race for the playoffs.

Sunrisers Hyderabad remains on top in the points table, with 14 points from 11 matches. Punjab Kings is in second place with 13 points. Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals remain in the top-4 with 12 points each. Gujarat Titans are at fifth position with 12 points and Chennai Super Kings are at sixth position with 10 points.
Whereas Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants are struggling at the bottom of the table with 6 points each. The race for the playoffs has now reached a very exciting point, where every match can change the equation.
