Major terrorist attack in Pakistan, police post blown up by car bomb, 15 feared dead

According to the report, the attack took place in Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, which is located near the Afghanistan border. A police post was targeted here. According to police officials, the attackers detonated a vehicle loaded with explosives near the checkpoint.

The blast was so powerful that the entire police post collapsed. The death of at least three police officers has been confirmed in this attack. But the damage is said to be much more than this. According to police officer Sajjad Khan, about 15 policemen were on duty at the post at that time, most of whom are feared dead. However, the final figures will be revealed only after the operation is over.

The method of attack was extremely dangerous. First the car was hit by the main gate and the blast was carried out. After the blast, policemen from nearby areas reached the spot for help and the attackers ambushed them. During this, firing took place from both sides, due to which the situation became more serious.

According to the AP report, another police officer, Zahid Khan, said that a suicide bomber was also involved in the attack, who detonated a vehicle filled with explosives near the checkpoint. After this, several explosions were heard. According to reports, the attackers also used drones, which made the attack more dangerous. This shows that the attackers had come fully prepared.

The blast also affected the surrounding civilian areas. According to reports, nearby houses and buildings were damaged and at least two civilians were injured. There was panic in the area after the incident. Ambulance and rescue teams immediately reached the spot. Emergency was declared in the government hospitals of Bannu, so that the injured could be treated immediately.

At present, no organization has taken responsibility for this attack, but security agencies believe that Pakistani Taliban i.e. TTP and its associated groups have been carrying out such attacks in the past also. This attack has taken place at a time when tension already exists between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
