Mohanlal remembers his late mother; Vismaya pens heartfelt note for Suchitra on Mother’s Day

Mohanlal’s brother Pyarelal and father Viswanathan Nair passed away earlier. “I once said that it is just me in my family. We all die one day, and there will be sadness about it.”

The actor also said that he would not visit his home in Thiruvananthapuram because his mother was in Ernakulam for his treatment. “I did not like to go to a home without my mother. However, nowadays, I go there. My mother, father and brother are all there with me,” the actor said in an emotional way.

Mohanlal’s mother had been ill for a long time before she experienced a stroke, which left her paralysed. Many have talked about the actor’s unconditional love for his mother. For example, Jagathy Sreekumar once said in interview that his Kilukkam and yoddha co-star was so close to his mother. “Even if she scolded him, he would listen to her without getting angry. Even in her absence, he shows his 100 per cent love for his mother in his work,” Jagathy said at the time.

Meanwhile, Mohanlal’s daughter Vismaya also penned a heartfelt note to her mother Suchitra earlier this Sunday. Sharing a photograph of Suchitra on her Instagram, the Thudakkam star wrote, “Happy Mother’s day Amma. Thank you for being such a beautiful mama. You inspire me more than you know. Thank you for always being who you are, thank you for your unconditional love, even the times when I’m being a brat. You’re such a blessing to us and to everyone who knows you and we all love you so so much.”
