Telangana: PM Modi launches several development projects in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, 10 May. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of different projects worth Rs 9,377 crore through video conferencing at an event organized at the Hyderabad International Convention Center (HICC) in Begumpet here. On this occasion, he said that the Central Government will continue to do development work at a fast pace to fulfill the dreams of the people of Telangana.

During his address in the presence of Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, Bandi Sanjay Kumar and other leaders, PM Modi said that the potential of Cyberabad is both national and global. This is the main center of rapid development of Telangana and the country. Many big projects are being started from Cyberabad to make Telangana a big manufacturing power house of the country. The projects whose foundation stone was laid and inaugurated today. Thousands of new employment opportunities will be created here and the connectivity of Telangana will also be strengthened.

He said, ‘I congratulate the people of Telangana for these projects. Today India is running on Reform Express. Along with this, today’s India is building modern infrastructure. This is the aim behind the construction of Zaheerabad Industrial Area. This industrial area is part of the central government’s national campaign to develop industrial corridors. In a way, it is going to become an industrial smart city.

The Prime Minister said that there will be world class infrastructure here, excellent power supply, advanced I-City network, which means there will be facilities for investors from all over the world. Modern connectivity has also been a big priority of the Government of India in the last 12 years. Be it roads, railways, airports, unprecedented investment is being made on every mode of connectivity. The National Highway network in Telangana has doubled in the last 11 years.

  • Work from Gudeballur to Mahabubnagar under extension of National Highway 167 (Cost: Rs 3,175 crore).
  • ‘PM Mitra’ Kakatiya Mega Textile Park in Warangal (Cost: Rs 1,695.54 crore).
  • Greenfield POL depot built at Malkapur near Hyderabad (Cost: Rs 611 crore).
  • 118 km long Kazipet-Vijayawada Multi-Tracking Railway Project (Cost: Rs 1,243 crore).
  • 21 km long Kazipet rail and rail bypass railway line (Cost: Rs 292 crore).
