PM Modi on Petrol Diesel: While addressing a public meeting in Hyderabad, PM Modi has appealed to the people not to buy gold for a year. PM Modi said that amid the global crisis, emphasis will also be laid on saving foreign exchange. Prime Minister Modi also said that we will have to emphasize on saving oil.

PM Modi further said that earlier, whenever there was any crisis or war, people used to donate gold in the national interest. PM Modi said that today, there is no need for donations. But in the interest of the nation, we should decide that for a whole year, no matter what function or event is held at home, we will not buy gold jewellery.

• PM Modi said that the ongoing war in the neighborhood has had a serious impact on the entire world including India and appealed to avoid it.
• PM Modi said that India does not have enough oil resources and problems are increasing due to supply chain disruption. He has appealed to save oil.
• PM Modi said that the government is bearing the burden. To ensure that common citizens are not burdened, the government itself is facing financial pressure.
• PM Modi said that a resolution will have to be taken to save fuel. He also appealed to limit the use of petrol and diesel.
• PM Modi emphasized on public transport in his statement. He said that wherever metro is available, use it only.
• PM Modi talked about promoting car pooling. PM Modi said that if private vehicles are necessary then they should carry more people with them.
• The Prime Minister also appealed to postpone foreign travel. Avoid traveling abroad and attending weddings for a year, do tourism within the country itself.
• PM Modi stressed on saving foreign exchange. He said that we should contribute to the economic strength of the country by reducing unnecessary expenses.
• PM Modi advised to avoid buying gold. He said that take a pledge not to buy gold for one year.
• PM Modi talked about emphasizing self-reliance. He said that we should distance ourselves from such steps which prevent India from becoming self-reliant.
