When PM Modi congratulated, ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay became elated! A new era started in Tamil Nadu as soon as he became the Chief Minister, know what happened
Chennai: Today a new sun has risen in the politics of Tamil Nadu. Superstar-turned-people’s leader ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay has officially taken oath as the Chief Minister and with this ‘Vijay Sarkar’ has started in the state. Along with actor-turned-politician Joseph Vijay, nine other ministers also took the oath of office and secrecy. On this historic occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated him in a special way, on which Vijay’s reaction is now going viral on social media.
PM Modi extended the hand of friendship
As soon as Vijay took over as the Chief Minister, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent his best wishes to him through social media. PM Modi in his message said, “Many congratulations to Thiru C. Joseph Vijay on being sworn in as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. My best wishes for your successful tenure. The Central Government will continue to work shoulder to shoulder with the State Government to improve the lives of the people of Tamil Nadu.” This message of the PM is being seen as a sign of better coordination between the Center and the state.
Vijay expressed gratitude
TVK chief Vijay also did not delay in reacting to the Prime Minister’s congratulations. He thanked PM Modi very politely. Vijay wrote in his post, “I express my heartfelt gratitude to Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji. Thank you very much for your good wishes on assuming charge as Chief Minister.”
Zero to Hero: TVK’s charismatic performance
The journey of Vijay’s political party ‘Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam’ (TVK) has been no less than a film script. This party, formed just three years ago, was being underestimated before the elections. But when the results came, everyone was stunned. Vijay’s party won 108 seats, defeating giants like DMK and AIADMK. However, due to no party getting a clear majority, a situation of ‘hung assembly’ was created in the state.
talks with opponents
Vijay had to struggle a lot to reach the magic figure of majority. In this difficult time, Congress was the first to support Vijay with its 5 MLAs. After this, parties like IUML and VCK also put forward their hands. Not only this, the left parties i.e. CPI and CPIM also made the path to power easier by extending their support to Vijay’s government. Now it remains to be seen to what heights Vijay, who rules the cinema screen, will take Tamil Nadu on this political pitch.
