Both the accused have been admitted to the hospital for treatment in injured condition. According to the police, both the accused are said to be involved in criminal cases. At present he is being interrogated and further investigation is going on in the matter.

According to Delhi Police, with the aim of making the capital crime free, the police conducts continuous campaigns against criminals. The Central District Special Staff of Delhi Police had received intelligence that these two suspects might come to the area around Zakir Hussain College allegedly to meet someone or commit some other crime. After this, Delhi Police laid a trap to catch them. Police had increased surveillance on the roads and surrounding areas.

According to the police, as soon as the team signaled the two accused to stop, the miscreants started firing. After this the police also retaliated. During the firing that continued for some time, both the accused were shot in the legs and injured. The police caught both of them on the spot. The injured accused were immediately taken to the hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. Police say that both the accused have already been involved in many criminal cases. At present his identity and criminal record are being investigated. The police were searching for these accused for a long time and their activities were being monitored. Security was increased in the area after the encounter. Weapons and other suspicious items are also said to have been recovered from the spot.

UP’s rewarded criminal had a half encounter in Delhi

The miscreant was identified as Mohammad Rizwan. UP Police had placed a reward of Rs 15,000 on him. The encounter took place near Amar Colony in South East Delhi.
