Turkish plane caught fire during landing
A tire of a Turkish Airlines plane caught fire during landing at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. According to the police, the fire has been brought under control and all the passengers were taken out safely. SP Rajkumar Silawal, posted in airport security, told ANI over phone that Turkish Airlines flight TK 726 was coming from Istanbul to Kathmandu. The tire of the plane caught fire during landing.
He said that the fire was immediately extinguished with the help of fire engine. All the passengers have been taken out safely. According to officials, there were a total of 278 passengers and 11 crew members on board the plane. Some United Nations officials were also included among the passengers.
