Pooja Batra’s big revelation, said- Actors were scared of my height

Desk. Actress Pooja Batra, who made her Bollywood debut with the 1997 film ‘Virasat’, started her career with modeling. Pooja Batra was a part of many Hindi films. However, despite his successful debut, his career did not last long. Recently Pooja Batra told that due to her tall height she had to lose many films. Because most of the actors’ height was less than him, but he had so much ego that he did not want the heroine to look taller than him. That’s why he wanted to make the heroines look younger than himself.

While talking, Pooja Batra recalled an advice given by Sangeeta Bijlani in her initial days. He said that I remember Sangeeta Bijlani had told me, ‘You have no chance in films because you are too tall’. I was disappointed by this warning from Sangeeta. But she is my idol. She is beautiful and also a model.

Whatever role I got, I gave my best in it. Even though the heroes used to get nervous because of my height. It is true that I did not get many films because of my height. I lost many good roles. Pooja claimed that tall actresses like her and Sangeeta paved the way for tall actresses like Sushmita and Deepika. I should thank them.

  • Pooja told that she used to do half splits in front of the camera to make her hero look taller in close-up shots. In her first film, Pooja wore colorful clothes to look younger. The actress said that even in Hollywood, I respect all the tall actresses like Naomi Watts and Charlize Theron. I know how difficult it is for a woman to be successful despite her height. However, Pooja said that Salman Khan was the only actor who never had any problem with my height. He was the kind of person who used to say, ‘Wear heels, I don’t mind. He had full confidence in his stature.

On the changes in Hindi cinema, the actress said that there has been a lot of change. There has been a lot of improvement not only because of the change in thinking, but also because of the technological changes that have come in CinemaScope. Short people are at a disadvantage, as they may appear fatter on camera than their actual height. Most of the famous actors in the world are not very tall. To wear short clothes and bring her fashion sense on screen, Pooja always wore her own clothes in films. She remembers that when she would come to the set in her personal clothes, the director would tell her, let her wear what she is wearing. But he also asked her to remove her makeup because he wanted a natural look. She said laughing, ‘I thought, at least let me apply sunblock.’
