Ginny & Georgia star Brianne Howey is addressing fans’ concerns over Diesel La Torraca’s noticeable growth spurt and what it means for Austin in season four.

In chat with Us Weekly, the 36-year-old actress admitted she saw the fans’ concerns online but didn’t pay much attention to it.

“I saw a little bit of it,” she said. “I didn’t take any of it seriously.”

She suggested the show could embrace the speculation head-on, teasing that its witty and self-aware tone makes it the perfect opportunity to playfully address it.

“What’s so fun about the show as a whole is how tongue and cheek it is. We play into these aspects,” the Kinda Pregnant actress added.

Continuing, “So it wasn’t something we were actually worried about. But it’s hard to deny that he is growing. He’s grown so much as a young man.”

Brianne, who plays Georgia in the hit series, also commended the series for turning Diesel La Torraca’s real-life growth into a deeper reflection on how trauma can force children to grow up far too quickly.

“I think that’s what they’re so clever with in the writers’ room,” she remarked. “You’ll see this season. They started to play into it a little bit last season but even more so this season they play into the natural changes that are happening.”
