Heart attack becomes a big threat in the country, NCRB data increases concern
Desk: Heart diseases are fast becoming a big problem in the country. According to the latest data of NCRB for 2024, 38,599 people died due to heart attack last year. The highest number of deaths were recorded in Maharashtra, where 14,874 people lost their lives. After this, 5,015 deaths were recorded in Kerala, 3,253 in Gujarat and 2,568 deaths in Karnataka. Uttar Pradesh stood at tenth place with 972 deaths.

According to doctors, now even people between 30 and 50 years of age are increasingly falling prey to heart diseases. Bad lifestyle, stress, lack of sleep, junk food and less physical activity are believed to be the main reasons for this. Under the pressure of work and responsibilities, people ignore the early signs.
Don’t take these symptoms lightly
According to experts, chest pain, pressure or stiffness is the most common sign of heart attack. Apart from this, shortness of breath, sudden feeling of extreme tiredness, dizziness, sweating and abnormal heartbeats can also be alarm bells. In many cases the pain may spread to the arms, back, jaw or stomach.
Timely investigation is necessary
Doctors are advising that regular health checkups, balanced diet, exercise and reducing stress are very important to prevent heart diseases. It is advised to contact the doctor immediately if initial symptoms appear.
