CM Yogi said- “The invaders have been eliminated, but not even a hair of Sanatan has been destroyed.”
Baghpat: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday gave a strong message to the enemies of the country and religion from the historical land of Baghpat. The Chief Minister, who came to participate in the Nav Nath Murti Pran Pratishtha and Eightman Bhandara program organized at ‘Shri Shiv Gorakhnath Ashram’ of the district, clearly said that the invaders who had made nefarious attempts to destroy India’s self-respect, temples and holy pilgrimages, today there is no trace of them left in the pages of history. On the contrary, our Sanatan Dharma is still paving the way for world welfare with full strength.
In fact, this visit of the Chief Minister is considered very important from religious and historical point of view. While addressing the programme, he underlined the importance of today’s date i.e. 11th May. He reminded that on this day in 1951, the Somnath Mahadev Temple was re-consecrated by the country’s first President Dr. Rajendra Prasad. The Chief Minister said that today Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself is associated with ‘Somnath Swabhiman Parv’ in Somnath, which is a matter of pride for every Indian.
Unique confluence of heritage and development
Referring to the mythological importance of Baghpat, the Chief Minister linked it to the Mahabharata period. He told that Baghpat was one of the five villages which Lord Krishna had demanded from the Kauravas for the Pandavas. He said, “This is the same land which our ancestors have preserved for more than 5,000 years. Today, here the heritage is being conserved as well as developed.” During this, the Chief Minister also mentioned the messiah of farmers Chaudhary Charan Singh and Rashtriya Lok Dal President Chaudhary Jayant Singh. He said that the double engine government and RLD together are creating new paradigms of development of Baghpat and the state.
Inspiration is hidden in the address ‘Ram-Ram’
Yogi Adityanath laid special emphasis on the culture of western Uttar Pradesh and the way of greeting ‘Ram-Ram’. He said that our ancestors did not give us this address just like that. Actually, it is the power that inspires us to move forward even in adverse circumstances. He appealed to the public that whenever we meet each other, we should use ‘Ram-Ram’ as a greeting. According to the Chief Minister, only when we think and work in one direction, results like the grand Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya emerge.
When the villagers used to gather to the tune of Sarangi
During the address, the Chief Minister also remembered the contribution of Guru Gorakshanath and Siddha Yogis. He told that during the period of slavery, when foreign invaders were bent on destroying the culture of the country, Siddha Yogis were not limited to caves. He used to go from village to village playing sarangi and singing hymns so that people could be united and stand against the invaders.
Yogi Adityanath said in clear words, “Dharmo Rakshati Rakshit: If you protect Dharma, Dharma will protect you. If we misuse Dharma for our selfishness, the same Dharma will destroy us.” He said that the revival of Ayodhya, Kashi, Kedarpuri and Mahakal Lok is proof that we can move towards a bright future only by connecting with our glorious past.
At the end of the program, the Chief Minister praised Saint Arjun Nath and the local residents and said that the one who stands in trouble is a true saint. He appealed to the local people to remain united to save their spiritual culture and heritage.
