Tata Nexon Pure+ PS: India’s Most Affordable Panoramic Sunroof Equipped Car On Video For The First Time

Tata Nexon is one of the popular sub-4-metre SUVs in the segment. It is known for its build quality along with premium features and affordable pricing. Recently, the Nexon achieved the 1 million sales milestone in the Indian market, and it looks like, as part of the celebration, Tata decided to add one more value-for-money variant to the SUV lineup.

They have now launched the Pure+ PS variant. The “PS” stands for panoramic sunroof, and it is currently the most affordable SUV in India with a panoramic sunroof. The SUV has started reaching dealerships, and here we have a quick walkaround video of the same.

The video was shared by Fuel Injected on their YouTube channel. In this video, the vlogger talks about the Pure+ PS variant that was recently launched in the market. It actually sits above the base Smart variant, and prices for the new Pure+ PS start at Rs 9.59 lakh, ex-showroom, and go all the way up to Rs 11.19 lakh, ex-showroom.

The video starts with the exterior of the SUV. It is available with the same design as the regular lower-spec Nexon. It gets the gloss-black nose, Tata logo, thick black cladding on the lower part of the bumper, LED reflector headlamps, LED DRLs, and so on. There are fog lamps and cornering lamps on offer too.

Coming to the side, the SUV gets 16-inch tyres with silver wheel covers, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, LED tail lamps without a connecting LED bar, Nexon branding on the tailgate, an integrated roof spoiler, shark-fin antenna, rear windshield wiper and washer, and a rear bumper with reflectors.

In the boot, there is a 15-inch spare wheel, and it also misses out on split rear seats. All the doors get dual-tone hard-plastic panels. There is a physical key with remote central locking, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a manually height-adjustable driver seat, climate control, fabric seats, six speakers, automatic LED headlamps and wipers, a reverse parking camera, and a two-spoke Tata steering wheel with an illuminated logo and tilt adjustment. The Pure+ PS now comes with cruise control too.

The main attraction of this variant is the panoramic sunroof. It is the only car in this segment to come with a panoramic sunroof under Rs 10 lakh. Electric sunroofs have become a popular feature among customers looking for a new car. Often, these features were offered only in the higher variants. By launching the Pure+ PS variant, Tata is targeting customers who often settle for lower-spec variants due to budget constraints. The Pure+ PS variant comes across as a value-for-money product when compared to its rivals.

Tata is also offering the Pure+ PS variant with the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine, and even the petrol iCNG option. Both petrol and diesel engine options are available with manual and automatic transmissions, giving customers more choice.

The Nexon currently has over 70 trims to choose from, and that is probably one of the reasons behind its popularity in this heavily crowded and competitive sub-4-metre SUV segment.
