Case of loan fraud of Rs 1.18 crore from Faridabad businessman
Due to repair and technical work at Delhi’s Kishanganj station, changes have been made in the operation of many trains. Five shuttle trains will now run only up to New Delhi, while temporary changes have been made in the routes of some trains.
City: Due to yard reconstruction and technical upgradation work at Kishanganj railway station of Delhi division, Railways has made temporary changes in the operation of many trains. This decision will especially impact the daily commuters traveling to Delhi from Palwal, Faridabad and Ballabhgarh. According to the railway administration, some shuttle trains will be limited to New Delhi station till May 13.
Technical work going on at Kishanganj station
According to railway officials, yard reconstruction and installation of new EI panels is being done at Kishanganj station. During this period, non-inter locking work has also been started, due to which changes in the operation of trains have become necessary.
Keeping security reasons in mind, the Railway Administration has decided to short terminate some trains, cancel some and change the route of some.
Five shuttle trains limited to New Delhi
The shuttle trains that have been affected by the Railways include those on Shakurbasti-Palwal and Ballabhgarh-Shakurbasti routes. These trains will no longer go up to Shakurbasti and will operate only up to New Delhi Railway Station.
Trains affected include:
- 64012 Shakurbasti-Palwal Shuttle
- 64013 Palwal-Shakurbasti Shuttle
- 64015 Palwal-Shakurbasti Shuttle
- 64016 Shakurbasti-Palwal Shuttle
- 64071 Ballabhgarh-Shakurbasti Shuttle
Due to this change, daily commuters will have to use alternative means to go beyond New Delhi.
Route of Himsagar Express also changed
Railways has also temporarily changed the route of the long distance Himsagar Express. Officials say that this step has been taken to complete the ongoing work at the station safely and on time.
Railway administration has advised the passengers to check the train status and timings from the official website or helpline before travelling. This special arrangement will remain in force till May 13.
