Operation Sindoor: Pakistan celebrates victory even on the day of defeat, Shahbaz creates hypocrisy of Marka-e-Haq
Islamabad. Pakistan, still reeling from the horror of last year’s Operation Sindoor by the Indian Army, has now hypocritically celebrated May 10th as “Maraka-e-Haq” Day to vent its anger. Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced this in Islamabad on Sunday. This is the same day when Pakistan had to call for a ceasefire after a massive attack by the Indian Army.
Operation Sindoor: When India struck inside the home
The root of this entire dispute was cross-border terrorism. Last year, 26 innocent Indian tourists lost their lives in a cowardly terrorist attack in Pahalgam. In a befitting reply, India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7th. Indian soldiers destroyed nine major terrorist hideouts across the border. More than 100 dreaded terrorists were killed in this surgical strike, completely dismantling Pakistan’s defense system.
The world accepted defeat in the face of India’s diplomacy.
During the conflict, Pakistan unsuccessfully attempted retaliation, which was crushed by the Indian Army at the border. The situation became so uncontrollable that Shahbaz Sharif was forced to beg for help from countries like the United States, Saudi Arabia, and China. Finally, on May 10, 2025, Pakistan capitulated on the hotline and appealed for a halt to military action. India has made it clear on the global stage that this agreement was not a result of any foreign pressure, but rather a direct military defeat of Pakistan.
Pakistan in the dust and making empty claims
During the ceremony, President Asif Ali Zardari heaped praise on his army, but the reality was that the Pakistan Air Force even canceled its planned flypast, citing bad weather. Indian experts believe that names like “Maraka-e-Haq” are being used only to mislead the public, when in reality, it marks the anniversary of Pakistan’s surrender to India’s military might.
