Update regarding delivery of LPG cylinder, news for Indane, HP and Bharat Gas customers
Business Desk: If you are also worried about the delivery of LPG cylinder, then there is relief news for you. For some time, there were reports regarding delay in supply and delivery of cylinders in various parts of the country. Now the country’s major oil marketing companies (OMCs) Indane, HPCL and Bharat Gas have shared a big update to make the delivery process more transparent and faster. The main objective of the companies is to provide gas cylinders to the customers on time without any interruption and to stop black marketing.
Improvement in delivery system: Now you will not have to wait long
Gas companies have clarified that logistics and supply chains are being strengthened to reduce delivery delays. After booking, customers will no longer have to wait for hours or days. The companies have instructed their distributors to ensure delivery within 24 to 48 hours of refill booking. If there is a delay due to technical reasons in a particular area, customers will be informed immediately through SMS.
Enhanced facility of digital booking and tracking
Many booking options are now available for the convenience of customers. Now you can book your cylinder through just a missed call, WhatsApp message or mobile app. By booking through digital medium, customers are also getting the facility of live tracking of their cylinder. With this, customers will be able to know whether their cylinder has been released from the warehouse or not and how much time will it take to reach home.
Take care of DAC (Delivery Authentication Code)
The ‘Delivery Authentication Code’ (DAC) system is being implemented more strictly to ensure security and correct delivery. When the delivery boy brings the cylinder to you, an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. It is mandatory to show it to the delivery boy. This process ensures that the cylinder reaches the right person and eliminates the possibility of theft or tampering of the cylinder in transit.
Avoid fake news, trust official information
Misleading news often spreads on social media regarding shortage of gas cylinders or changes in rules. Petroleum companies have appealed to the customers not to pay attention to any such rumours. The supply of cylinders is completely normal and there is no shortage of stock. For any complaint or assistance, customers can contact the official helpline number of the companies or talk to their respective agency directly.
