Barmer is the hottest city in the country with 47.3 degrees, thunderstorm and hailstorm in many districts.

Jaipur. The weather showed two different forms in Rajasthan on Monday. Districts like Barmer, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Bikaner and Phalodi of western Rajasthan witnessed severe heat and heat wave, while people got relief from storm, rain and hailstorm in many areas including Sriganganagar and Hanumangarh of northern Rajasthan. The maximum temperature in Barmer was measured at 47.3 degrees Celsius, which was the highest temperature so far this season. With this, Barmer remained the hottest city in the country for the second consecutive day.

According to weather experts, the hot winds coming from Pakistan have made the heat more intense in the desert areas of western Rajasthan. Due to these winds entering the Thar region without any interruption, the effect of heat wave is continuously increasing. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert regarding heatwave in Jaisalmer, Barmer and Jodhpur. In view of the possibility of storm and rain, yellow alert has been issued in many districts including Jaipur, Bharatpur, Alwar, Sikar.

The maximum temperature in the capital Jaipur on Monday was 39.9 degrees Celsius. People had to face a lot of problems due to strong sunlight and humidity. The temperature was measured at 42.3 degrees in Udaipur, 42.7 degrees in Kota, 42.1 degrees in Ajmer and around 45 degrees Celsius in Jodhpur. Due to the scorching heat, there was silence on the roads in the cities in the afternoon and people were seen resorting to water, shade and other measures to protect themselves from the heat.

On the other hand, the weather took a turn in Sriganganagar and Hanumangarh. There was a strong storm, light rain and hailstorm in some areas, which provided relief to the people from the scorching heat.

There was some decrease in temperature due to cloudy sky in districts like Alwar and Sikar. The Meteorological Department estimates that this mixed weather pattern will continue in Rajasthan in the coming days. Severe heat and heat wave will continue in western districts, while thunderstorms may continue in parts of eastern and northern Rajasthan.
