Anyone giving information about IRGC’s economic activities will get a reward of 15 million dollars

As talks between the US and Iran stall, the US State Department has announced a reward of up to $15 million for information that could help disrupt the finances of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC). This reward will be given under the ‘Rewards for Justice’ program of the State Department. This announcement has been made at a time when the Trump administration is trying to weaken Iran’s economic hold.

This reward will be given to those who provide information about the revenue sources of the IRGC, the IRGC-Quds Force, its branches or its major financial networks. This includes shell companies, individuals who help the IRGC evade sanctions, and financial institutions that do business with them.

The US State Department also wants to gather information about how the IRGC is transferring funds and resources to its terrorist and militia affiliates and partners.

Amid the impasse in talks with the US, Iran’s chief negotiator and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has warned that Tehran is ready for every option. He said, “Our armed forces are ready to give a lesson-learning response to any attack. The whole world has now understood that a policy of miscalculation and wrong decisions always gives wrong results. We are ready for every option. They will be surprised.”

He further said that “there is no other option but to accept the rights of the Iranian people as outlined in the 14-point proposal presented by Iran earlier this month.”

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has described the month-long ceasefire between the US and Iran as “very critical”. He described the ceasefire as “incredibly weak”.

Speaking about Iran’s response to the US proposal to end the war, Trump said it was completely unacceptable. He claimed that America would achieve complete victory over Iran. He also indicated that the ceasefire, which has largely stopped the conflict in the Gulf region for more than a month, has now reached its final stage.
