Good news for employees in Bihar? DA may increase by 2%
Patna. Lakhs of government employees and pensioners of the state are keeping an eye on the upcoming cabinet meeting of Bihar government. In this important meeting to be held on May 13, many important proposals including increasing Dearness Allowance (DA) are expected to be discussed. It is believed that the government can take a big decision regarding the pending 2 percent DA of the employees.
Cabinet meeting will be held on May 13
According to the notification issued by the state government, the Cabinet meeting will be held on May 13 at 10:30 am in the Cabinet Hall located at the Chief Secretariat. After the formation of the new government, Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary seems to be continuously active and is holding cabinet meetings regularly. In the previous meetings also, many administrative and public interest related decisions were taken.
Employees expect DA increase
The biggest discussion among government employees is about 2 percent dearness allowance. It is being told that on the lines of the Central Government, Bihar Government can also consider giving additional DA to the employees. If this happens, lakhs of employees and pensioners of the state will get direct economic benefits. However, no official announcement has been made by the government in this regard yet.
There can also be discussion on employment and new recruitments
According to the report, the government can also take decisions on matters related to employment and new appointments. In recent times, the government seems to be continuously active in creating employment for the youth and filling vacant posts in various departments. Therefore, there is a possibility that there may be a discussion in the cabinet on speeding up the recruitment process or approving new schemes.
At present there is only speculation regarding DA increase and other decisions. The real situation will be known only after the cabinet meeting ends on May 13. If the government takes a decision in favor of the employees, it can prove to be a big relief for lakhs of families.
