Politics News- US President Donald Trump reached China, Jinping is not needed to defeat Iran
Friends, the war between Iran and America is showing no signs of stopping, meanwhile US President Donald Trump on Tuesday left for China on an official visit, where he is expected to hold high-level discussions with Chinese President Xi Jinping on a wide range of global and strategic issues.
When asked whether China could play a mediating role in the Iran issue, Trump confidently replied, “I don’t think we need any help with Iran. We’re going to win one way or the other.”
This is Trump’s first visit to China since 2017 and comes at a time when geopolitical tensions are heightened in many regions.
Trump described Xi Jinping’s approach as “positive”
Before boarding his flight from the White House, Trump tried to downplay reports of differences between Washington and Beijing over Iran and the conflict’s broader impact on global oil markets.
Trump said, “We’re going to have a long conversation about this. Frankly, I think President Xi’s attitude has been largely positive.” He further said that many important issues will be discussed during the summit, but he believes that the issue of Iran is “largely under control.”
“The blockade is extremely effective”
Trump also emphasized the effectiveness of the measures taken against Iran, claiming that the country’s military capabilities have been significantly weakened.
“We have severely crippled their military capabilities. The blockade is extremely effective, and one way or another, this will be the best solution,” he said.
Reiterating his administration’s stance on nuclear weapons, Trump asserted, “Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. They know that, and they have agreed to it. We don’t play games.”
