Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 crashes Netflix servers in Pakistan: When is it coming to Indian OTT?
You are not ready for this! Brace yourselves, US and Canadian movie buffs. Ranveer Singh-starrer Dhurandhar: The Revenge, which is part 2 of the film, has officially made its OTT debut for international audiences, arriving on Netflix with a special raw and uncut version that was not released in Indian theatres.
While international viewers can now stream the action drama, Indian audiences are still awaiting details regarding the film’s domestic OTT release.
The film is streaming overseas now, nearly eight weeks after its big-screen release.
Netflix announced the development through its social media handles, writing, “DHURANDHAR THE REVENGE (Raw & Undekha) is coming to Netflix in the US & Canada.”
As Dhurandhar 2 was dropped in Pakistan, the app reportedly crashed as users flocked to the movie-viewing app and rushed to watch the film.
Pakistani content creator Maviya Umer Farooqui, who runs the Instagram page @kaam_wali_baat, shared a video showing Netflix allegedly crashing soon after Dhurandhar 2 premiered in Pakistan. He was heard saying, “Dhurandhar has been released in Pakistan today and the server has crashed. Pakistanis are waiting for Netflix to put the movie at 12 o’clock in the night and everyone will click together. This is how the interest in Dhurandhar has been seen.”
He added, “Now the truth has been shown, that’s a different thing, but Pakistanis want to see how the film is made. Everyone knows what Ranveer Singh’s character is like. What really happened in the story or not, that’s a later thing.”
(Dhurandhar released in Pakistan today itself, and the server crashed almost immediately. Pakistanis had been eagerly waiting for Netflix to drop the film at midnight so everyone could click and watch it together. That’s the level of craze Dhurandhar has generated here. Whether the film shows the truth or not is a different matter, but people in Pakistan are curious to see how the movie has been made. Everyone already has an idea about Ranveer Singh’s character. Whether such incidents actually happened in Lyari or not is a separate debate.)
The video was also liked by Aditya Uppal, who played Lyari Task Force cop ASP Omar Haider in Dhurandhar 2 opposite Sanjay Dutt.
Here’s when it will release in India
Ranveer Singh-starrer action thriller Dhurandhar: The Revenge will make its streaming debut on JioHotstar on June 4, with a special digital premiere event, the platform announced on Friday.
There is no confirmed official reason, but the early availability of Dhurandhar 2 in Pakistan before India is likely due to regional streaming rights or staggered OTT release schedules.
The early rollout in Pakistan, compared to India’s scheduled premiere, has further intensified chatter on social media around the film’s digital release. Despite the delay in India, excitement for the OTT debut remains high, especially given the film’s massive box office performance and star-studded cast.
The Aditya Dhar-directed film, which was released in cinema halls on March 19 and amassed over Rs 1,790 crore at the global box office, will be available in its original and unfiltered form for the first time in India, JioHotstar said in a statement.
Ahead of the streaming premiere, viewers will get access to a specially curated 30-minute pre-show at 7 pm featuring candid cast conversations, behind-the-scenes stories, and insights into the making of the film.
The movie will then be available for all viewers on JioHotstar from June 5 onwards.
Dhurandhar: The Revenge is a follow-up to Dhar’s Dhurandhar, which released in theatres in December 2025 and also performed exceptionally at the box office, earning over Rs 1,300 crore.
The sequel stars Ranveer Singh in the lead alongside Sara Arjun, Gaurav Gera, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, and Arjun Rampal.

Produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar, and Lokesh Dhar under the banners of Jio Studios and B62 Studios, the film remains one of the most commercially successful Indian releases of the year.
Dhurandhar: The Revenge continued the story of the undercover agent as he deepens his infiltration of Karachi’s criminal syndicates and Pakistani politics while avenging the 26/11 attacks and confronting larger threats.
