Great comeback after a bad start to the season

Shubhman Gill has now joined the list of select players who have scored 500 or more runs in two consecutive seasons as captain in IPL. Earlier this achievement was recorded in the names of only a few captains. In this matter, Gill has equaled Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli, who had scored more than 500 runs while being captain in two consecutive IPL seasons.
David Warner and KL Rahul are at the forefront
In IPL history, the record of scoring 500 plus runs in most consecutive seasons as captain is held by David Warner and KL Rahul. David Warner had achieved this feat in three consecutive seasons in the years 2015, 2016 and 2017. At the same time, KL Rahul had scored more than 500 runs in three consecutive IPL seasons from 2020 to 2022.
