  • 1 cup flour
  • 1\2 cup semolina
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1\2 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp khoya
  • 1 tsp fennel
  • 2 cardamom powder
  • a little coconut flakes
  • chopped dry fruits
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1\2 cup water
  • 2 cardamoms
  • some saffron threads

Recipe for making Mal Pua (Vat Savitri Vrat Malpua Recipe In Hindi)

To make Mal Pua, first add flour and semolina in a big bowl. Now prepare a smooth batter by adding milk to it. Keep in mind that there should be no lumps in it. After this add khoya, fennel, cardamom powder and some coconut powder and mix well. The batter should not be too thin or too thick. Keep it covered for about 20 minutes. With this the semolina will swell well and the Malpua will become soft. Then add sugar and water in a pan. Now cook it on low flame. When the sugar dissolves completely, add cardamom and saffron to it. The syrup should not be too thick. Prepare one string light syrup and turn off the gas. Now heat ghee in a pan. When the ghee becomes moderately hot, add one ladle of batter. The batter will automatically spread into a round shape. Fry the Malpua on low to medium flame until it turns golden. After they are cooked well from both the sides, take them out. Immediately put the fried malpuas in the prepared syrup. Let them remain in the syrup for about 1 to 2 minutes so that the sweetness penetrates inside. When Malpua is taken out of the syrup, add chopped almonds, pistachios and some coconut shavings on top.
