Sunil Narine did the feat which Gayle-de Villiers and Pollard could not do in the 19 years of IPL history, became the first foreign player.

IPL 2026: The 60th match of the Indian Premier League 2026 is being played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Gujarat Titans at Eden Gardens. Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill won the toss and decided to bowl first. While entering this match, former West Indies all-rounder Sunil Narine completed a double century in the IPL. Although he did not score runs with the bat, Sunil Narine has now become the first foreign player to play 200 matches in IPL. Even Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers and Kieron Pollard could not achieve this feat.

Sunil Narine made his IPL debut in the year 2012. Since then he is a part of Kolkata Knight Riders. He remains an important player of the KKR team. Now Sunil Narine completed his 200 matches in IPL as soon as he entered the match against Gujarat Titans. Many star foreign players from all over the world played in IPL, but could not reach the figure of 200 matches, but now Sunil Narine has achieved this feat.

Sunil Narine completed his 200 wickets in IPL 2026 itself. He became the first foreign bowler to take 200 wickets in IPL. Apart from this, Narine has become the 13th player to play 200 matches in IPL. Before him, a total of 12 players had achieved the feat of playing 200 matches in IPL and all of them were Indian players.
