raised hand on doctor

After the death of Amjad Khan, he was left behind by his wife Shehla Khan and his three children – sons Shadab and Seemab, and daughter Ahlam. In conversation with Vicky Lalwani, Amjad Khan’s son Shadab recalled the painful moment of receiving the news of his father’s death. Recalling that time, he said that the shock and sadness hit him so deeply that he raised his hand on the doctor in anger. At that time his age was only 18 years.

Recalling the day of his father’s demise, Shadab said, “I was not at home. I returned around 8 pm and was told, ‘Dad is not waking up, wake him up.’ He had a meeting the previous day, so he was tired and was resting. He woke up once and then slept in the afternoon. My mother asked me to check on him because he was not waking up. When I went to him, his body was cold.” After this the doctor was immediately called, who told that Amjad Khan had suffered a heart attack. He further said, “The doctor said that a particular injection was needed. I got the injection done, but I was told that I was a few seconds late. When the doctor told me about the delay in the injection, I attacked the doctor. I broke all the utensils in the house, punched the wall and even assaulted one of my father’s closest friends.”

Salim Khan had helped

In the same conversation, Shadab also told how after the death of Amjad Khan, Salman Khan’s father Salim Khan silently supported the family. He said, “After his death, I remember there was complete chaos in the house. People were constantly coming and going, rituals were being performed and my mother was in no condition. I was just 18 years old and my siblings were very young.” Shadab told that Salim Khan quietly took care of all the expenses, while the family made arrangements for the rituals and arrangements. He said, “At that time, we needed a lot of things for the rituals and customs. What I remember clearly is that Salim Sahab was silently paying for everything from his own pocket. Whatever was required for the rituals, he used to pay for it silently, without telling anyone or drawing attention. I saw it with my own eyes.”

Let us tell you that Amjad Khan has acted in more than 130 films in his career spanning two decades. Many of his completed films were released after his death, of which his last film ‘Kalinga’ was released in 1996.
