UIDAI confirms closure of mAadhaar app

• Offline Identity Verification:

This app enables identity verification even without internet connectivity, making it even more convenient and secure.

• Advanced Biometric Security:

Users can lock their fingerprint, facial recognition and iris authentication data directly through the app to prevent misuse. These locks can also be removed if needed.

Existing users may need to reset their profile

UIDAI has not yet clarified whether the data from the old mAadhaar app will be automatically transferred to the new Aadhaar app or not. As a result, existing users may have to manually reset their Aadhaar profile after downloading the updated app.
