The video showing the Odisha governor’s Mahindra EV convoy has been shared on Instagram by Minerva Auto on their page. In this short video, we can note that Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati, the Governor of Odisha, was standing next to his Mahindra XEV 9S electric SUV.
Just behind this SUV, there were two other Mahindra XEV 9E electric coupe SUVs as well. Soon after this, he sits in his XEV 9S and the convoy starts moving. All of these cars had Lok Bhawan Odisha written on the front along with the Ashoka Stambh, State Emblem of India, finished in brass.
The latest addition to Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati’s convoy is the black Mahindra XEV 9S electric SUV. It is the newly launched 7-seater SUV model, which starts at Rs 19.95 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs 30.20 lakh. The Governor of Odisha has opted for the top-of-the-line Pack Three Above variant.
This variant comes loaded with a ton of features. Its list of features includes three 12.3-inch displays like the XEV 9E and XUV 7XO, a 1400W, 16-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system with Dolby Atmos, dual-zone automatic climate control, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
It also gets ambient lighting, a powered tailgate, remote parking, powered boss mode, a 65W fast charger, an electronic parking brake, an NFC-based digital key, and a head-up display (HUD). It also gets an air purifier, a 540-degree camera, Level 2+ ADAS, and a panoramic sunroof.
Powering this SUV is a powerful electric motor, which is capable of producing 282 bhp and 380 Nm of torque. As for the battery pack, the top-of-the-line variant comes equipped with a 79 kWh battery pack, which provides a range of 679 km on a single full charge. Additionally, there are smaller 70 kWh and 59 kWh battery packs on offer as well, which provide ranges of 600 km and 521 km, respectively.
Apart from the newly added XEV 9S, the Governor of Odisha’s convoy already had three Mahindra XEV 9E coupe electric SUVs. These three were bought in the month of May last year. All three of them are finished in black color like the XEV 9S and are the top-of-the-line Pack Three 79 kWh variants. Both the XEV 9S and XEV 9E share the same drivetrain and battery packs.
In addition to driving around the state of Odisha in the Mahindra electric car convoy, Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati also bought a Tata Motors Harrier.ev as well. This particular EV SUV, finished in white color, was bought by him back in October of last year. The Tata Harrier.ev is currently the flagship electric SUV from the brand.
It comes with two battery pack options of 65 kWh and 75 kWh. Its top-of-the-line AWD variant offers an impressive power output of 369 bhp and 504 Nm. This SUV also comes loaded with features including a 14.5-inch central touchscreen powered by Samsung Neo QLED, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, premium JBL audio with Dolby Atmos, dual-zone climate control, a 540-degree surround view, ventilated seats, a powered tailgate, Level 2 ADAS, and others.
