Women in Delhi will get loan up to Rs 10 crore without guarantee, Delhi government is taking guarantee
Knews Desk– Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta Rekha Gupta government has taken a big decision to make women economically empowered and self-reliant. Now women of the capital will be able to get a loan of up to Rs 10 crore without any guarantee to start a startup and expand their business. The special thing is that the guarantee of this collateral-free loan will be taken by the Delhi government itself, due to which women will be able to easily get bank loans.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta made this announcement at the inauguration ceremony of the two-day Mega Self Help Group (SHG) Fair-2026 organized at Unity One Mall located near Rohini West Metro Station in North West Delhi. He said that the Delhi government is continuously working to connect women with entrepreneurship and make them economically strong.
The Chief Minister said that now indigenous and women-made products will get a platform for regular sale and display in malls and big shopping complexes, so that a larger market can be available to these products. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is continuously presenting the vision of ‘self-reliant India’, ‘adopt indigenous’ and ‘one district, one product’ in front of the country and the Delhi government is taking the same thinking forward. The Chief Minister also appealed to the people to use local and indigenous goods instead of foreign products. He said that handicrafts, khadi, household products and handmade goods made in India are no less than anyone in quality. All that is needed is better branding and marketing.

He said that the women of the country are not only increasing the income of their families by creating small industries and handmade products at home, but are also strengthening the country’s economy. The government wants that every woman of Delhi should join self-help groups and take their products to the market. During this, the Chief Minister also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to the countrymen to save fuel and promote the use of public transport. In this direction, Delhi government is encouraging campaigns like ‘Monday Metro’ and ‘No Vehicle Day’.
About 24 self-help groups participated in the mega fair, where handicrafts, crochet work, khadi, household products, food items and other handmade items were exhibited and sold. MP Yogendra Chandolia, MLA Kulwant Rana, district administration officials and a large number of women were present in the program.
