WhatsApp Tips- New feature of WhatsApp, now once you view the messages, they will automatically disappear, know the complete details.

Friends, in today’s modern era, WhatsApp has become the most popular app for instant messaging, which has more than 4 billion users all over the world. WhatsApp brings many features for its users, one such feature is ‘Disappearing Messages’, which will become even more secure and user-focused. The platform is testing a new “After Reading” feature. Under this feature, instead of a timer starting immediately after sending, messages will be automatically deleted after being read. Let us know about these features-

iPhone beta users get access to “After Reading” feature

The feature is currently only available to a select number of iPhone beta testers who are using WhatsApp through Apple’s TestFlight program. Some common users of the App Store may also start seeing this option gradually. This new setting will appear in the “Disappearing Messages” section of WhatsApp named “After Reading”.

With the help of this feature, users can decide for how long the message remains visible after the recipient opens it and reads it.

The timer will start only when the message has been read

Till now, the ‘Disappearing Messages’ timer in WhatsApp would start counting down from the exact moment the message was sent. But, with this new feature, the countdown will start only when the message is actually read by the recipient.

Users can expect to get three timing options:

5 minutes

1 hour

12 hours

If the recipient doesn’t open the message within 24 hours, WhatsApp will automatically delete it. This will be done so that unread messages do not remain in the chat forever.

The existing feature of ‘Disappearing Messages’ will also continue to work

The new “After Reading” option is expected to work alongside WhatsApp’s existing ‘Disappearing Messages’ system. Currently, WhatsApp allows users to set the time for messages to disappear:

24 hour

7 days

90 days

These settings can be turned on for individual chats, or applied as the default setting for all new conversations.

The special thing is that this new feature will be completely optional. Users will have to turn it on manually, while in chats that do not have this setting turned on, the existing rules for disappearing messages will continue to apply.
