New Delhi: A major plane accident occurred on Sunday at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho, America. During the famous ‘Gunfighter Skies Air Show’ being organized here, two American fighter planes collided in the air. The collision was so severe that both the fighter jets crashed within a few seconds and a thick cloud of smoke spread in the sky. Immediately after the accident, the entire air base was closed and security agencies took control of the spot.

During the air show, two advanced EA-18G Growler fighter jets of the US Navy were performing flight demonstrations. During this time both the planes came very close in the air and collided. After the collision, the aircraft fell rapidly and fell about two miles away from the air base. After the incident, an atmosphere of chaos was created on the spot and panic spread among the spectators.

In the video viral on social media, it can be seen that both the planes get engulfed in flames after the collision. However, it is a matter of relief that all four crew members present in both the planes were successful in getting out in time. After the accident, he was seen landing safely on the ground with the help of a parachute. Later the US Navy also confirmed that all crew members are safe and no casualties were reported.
Air show held after eight years
It is being told that this air show was organized after about eight years. A large number of people had come to see this program organized after a long gap. The organizers had prepared for this show for almost two years. But after the accident, all the other programs scheduled for Sunday were immediately cancelled. Also, the US Air Force and Navy have started investigating the causes of the accident.
It is noteworthy that many accidents have already happened at Mountain Home Air Force Base. In the year 2018, a hang glider crashed on the runway here, in which the pilot died. At the same time, in 2003, a Thunderbirds jet also crashed here, although the pilot survived safely in that incident.
