After Trump’s threat, Mohsen Razai, a member of Tehran’s Expediency Council and former commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has warned America to lift its siege of Iranian ports. At the same time, the drone attack on the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has happened at a time when there is tremendous tension between Iran and America. The drone targeted an electrical generator located outside the plant’s internal security perimeter. The UAE’s Federal Nuclear Regulatory Authority (FANR) and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) have confirmed the attack. FANR said emergency teams successfully brought the fire under control shortly after the attack, Gulf News reported. FANR and the IAEA confirmed the drone strike, saying the incident caused no damage to the plant’s main systems or security. Radiation levels are completely normal.
