Chennai came with one change against Hyderabad, is MS Dhoni in the team?

The 63rd match of IPL 2026 is being played on 18 May. This match is being played between Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Chennai won the toss and decided to bat first. Chennai has made a change in its playing-11, due to which there is debate whether MS Dhoni will be included in this playing-11.

 

MS Dhoni is at MA Chidambaram Stadium but he has not been included in the playing-11 for this match. This is Chennai’s last home match of this season. Cricket fans were hoping that MS Dhoni would play in this match. For the last few days, there were talks that Dhoni might retire after playing this match but it did not happen.

Gaikwad’s statement on MS Dhoni

After winning the toss, CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad said, ‘MS Dhoni is still with the team but is not completely fit for this match. Hopefully we will win this match, then who knows, Dhoni may be seen playing in the last match. We have made only one change in the team. Akil has come to the team in place of Gurjapaneet.
