Suvendu Adhikari’s PA’s murderer arrested! There was a plan to escape from Haridwar to Delhi, police caught him
New Delhi: The joint action of Muzaffarnagar Police and CBI has achieved great success. The main accused in the murder of Chandranath Rath, PA of West Bengal leader Suvendu Adhikari, has been arrested. The name of the accused is Rajkumar and he is a resident of Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh. He was caught from Chhapar Toll Plaza, NH-58 Highway. At the time of his arrest he was trying to escape from Haridwar to Delhi.
Accused Rajkumar is a resident of Ballia
According to the police, the arrested accused Rajkumar is a resident of Ratopur Sanwara village of Rasra police station area of Ballia district. Chandranath Rath’s mobile phone was switched off since his murder. CBI and Bengal Police teams are still searching for several other suspects in Ballia. Earlier, an accused named Thakur Raj Singh has also been arrested in this case. Kolkata Police had already arrested three sharp shooters from Uttar Pradesh.
PA was murdered on 6th May
Let us tell you that Chandranath Rath was murdered on May 6 in Dohariya Lane, about 7 kilometers away from Kolkata. This incident, which happened two days after BJP’s big victory in the Bengal Assembly elections, had created a stir in the entire state.
Police investigation revealed that Rath’s SUV was stopped by a silver colored car near his house. After this, armed attackers riding on two-wheelers opened fire from very close range. After the attack, the accused left the car and fled in other vehicles.

It is noteworthy that CBI investigation revealed that many of the attackers involved in the murder have links to Uttar Pradesh. Since the incident, the central agency and Bengal Police were continuously raiding Uttar Pradesh. Rajkumar’s arrest is considered important in this case. Many more names may be revealed in the inquiry. The murder of Suvendu Adhikari’s close friend is also being linked to a political conspiracy. At present CBI is interrogating the accused and scanning the entire network.
