Signs of big change in UP politics, why did Pankaj Chaudhary call the new OBC Commission historic?
Pankaj Chaudhary on UP New OBC Commission: Bharatiya Janata Party Uttar Pradesh President and Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary has welcomed the decision of the UP Cabinet to approve the formation of a Dedicated Backward Classes Commission. He said that the double engine government has once again made it clear that for it, social justice is not just a political slogan but a system to be implemented on the ground. The formation of a dedicated Backward Classes Commission is a historic step to give a constitutionally and legally strong basis to OBC reservation in Panchayats.
The Union Minister of State said that this Commission will study the social and political participation of backward classes in rural bodies, so that the determination of reservation can be ensured on the basis of correct data, transparent process and constitutional system. This will provide strong representation to the backward communities at the roots of democracy and their participation at the local level will be more effective.
Social justice is not just a slogan – Pankaj Chaudhary
Pankaj Chaudhary said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Under the leadership of Uttar Pradesh government, it is continuously taking such decisions which are strengthening the democratic participation of villages, poor, backward and deprived communities. The BJP government clearly believes that social justice is not ensured only by slogans but by strong institutional arrangements, transparent policies and real representation.
The Central Government has also taken many historic steps in the last years for the social and economic empowerment of backward classes. Giving constitutional status to the National Backward Classes Commission, providing direct benefits to crores of people through schemes like Ayushman Bharat, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, Har Ghar Jal, Swanidhi Yojana and Vishwakarma Yojana for the poor and deprived sections are part of the same thinking of social justice.
‘Partner in the development of poor and backward countries’
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, social justice has been taken out of vote bank politics and linked to development and respect. Today, people belonging to poor, backward, Dalit and deprived classes are not just beneficiaries of schemes but are becoming active participants in the development of the country. The objective of the policies of the BJP government is to provide opportunities, facilities and respect to the person standing in the last line. BJP state president said that such experts will be included in the commission who have deep understanding and experience of subjects related to backward classes. The Commission will be headed by a retired High Court judge, which will further ensure transparency, credibility and constitutional strength of the entire process.
This will also reduce the possibility of any future confusion or dispute regarding reservation in Panchayat elections. The BJP government is working on the mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas and that is why today every section of the society is feeling safe, respected and participating in the BJP government. BJP does not do politics of vote bank but of real representation, equal opportunities and social justice.
