IPL 2026 SRH Qualify for Playoffs: The picture of the playoffs in the Indian Premier League 2026 is now almost clear. This year, Royal Challengers Bangalore became the first team to reach the playoffs by defeating Punjab Kings. In the match held on Monday, Sunrisers Hyderabad changed the entire equation of the points table by defeating Chennai Super Kings. Hyderabad not only sealed its playoff ticket but also cleared the way for Gujarat Titans to reach the last four.

At present, RCB remains on top in the points table with 18 points. Whereas Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans have 16-16 points in their account and both the teams have made it to the playoffs. Now there will be a tough competition between many teams for just one place.

Ishan Kishan shines against Chennai

Everyone’s eyes were on the match played between Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad on Monday. After winning the toss, Chennai captain Ruturaj Gaikwad decided to bowl first. Thanks to Dewald Brevis’s inning of 44 runs, Chennai scored 181 runs losing 7 wickets.

In response, Sunrisers Hyderabad batted brilliantly and achieved the target. Ishan Kishan’s half-century innings became the biggest reason for the team’s victory. With this win, Hyderabad ensured its place in the playoffs, while Chennai’s path became difficult.

Hyderabad and Gujarat’s playoff ticket confirmed

Hyderabad has 16 points after 13 matches. Gujarat Titans also have the same number of points. After Hyderabad’s victory, it was decided that now no other team would be able to reach 16 points, due to which Gujarat also got the ticket for the playoff. Both the teams now have a chance to reach 18 points by winning their last match.

There will be tough competition for the last seat

Punjab Kings, Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders are still in the race for the last seat in the playoffs. Punjab has 13 points, while Chennai, Rajasthan and Delhi have 12 points each. Rajasthan still has two matches left, while Chennai and Delhi have to play one match each. Now it will be interesting to see who becomes the fourth team.
