From Apache to M777 guns… India-US defense partnership gains momentum, know why this deal is important

According to the US State Department, India has been allowed to sell services and equipment related to AH-64E Apache helicopters. The estimated price of this deal is said to be around 198.2 million US dollars. These services include technical assistance, engineering support, logistics support, training and necessary documentation. Apart from Apache helicopters, the US has also approved the sale of M777A2 ultra-light howitzers to support services. The estimated price of this deal is said to be around 230 million US dollars.

Boeing and Lockheed Martin will play an important role

Apache helicopters are considered an important part of the strength of the Indian Army. These are considered very effective for modern warfare. These helicopters are used for surveillance in border areas and for precise attack on the enemy. In such a situation, it is considered necessary to keep their maintenance and technical support continuously strong. According to the US government, the responsibility of providing services related to Apache helicopters has been entrusted to America’s leading defense companies Boeing and Lockheed Martin. These companies will assist India in the operation and maintenance of helicopters.

M777A2 howitzer guns will also get support

At the same time, British defense company BAE Systems will provide support services related to M777A2 howitzers to India. This company will help in the maintenance and technical support of these guns for a long time. M777A2 howitzers are especially known for their use in mountainous and difficult terrain. The Indian Army has already deployed them in the border areas.
