Security Camps In Chhattisgarh To Become Public Service Centers Tribals To Receive Reservation
On Monday, at the inauguration of ‘Shaheed Veer Gundadhur Seva Dera’ public facility center in Bastar, Chhattisgarh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that wherever our security forces had ended the security vacuum by building security camps in Chhattisgarh to make India Naxal-free, now common service centers are being built there.
Amit Shah said that today is truly a historic day. I assure you that within just six months, this centre, which currently appears to be just a government initiative, will look full of life, buzzing with the presence and laughter of the local tribals. The ground on which I stand today is in itself a sacred pilgrimage site for every citizen of India.
This is the birthplace and workplace of martyr Veer Gunda Dhur. Today, taking inspiration from them, the Netanar camp (which was functioning as a security post since 2013) is now being converted into a service center dedicated to the welfare of the tribal community.
The Union Home Minister said that independence had come across the country long ago, but in our Bastar the sun of independence has risen only after March 31, 2026. We will very soon compensate for the loss suffered by Bastar during this period. The Government of India and the Government of Chhattisgarh will leave no stone unturned for the development of the people here.
The government has made arrangements for reservation for tribal brothers and sisters. If a job advertisement is published anywhere, then 15 percent reservation is assured for you. Once you educate your children, they will get government jobs and also employment opportunities in industries.
We have resolved to do better packaging, branding and marketing of forest produce through a national level cooperative formed for you. Dairy and forest produce, together, will start a new era in the field of employment here.
He said that we have also decided to implement the dairy model through the National Dairy Development Board. Dairy will reach every village and the central and state governments will work together to provide two animals to every tribal sister.
We are going to give this project to the National Institute of Design to design these camps better. The design of each camp will be complete, inside which there will also be banking facility. Your Aadhar card will also be made, ration card will also be made and you will also get money for government schemes from here. Through the Common Service Centre, you will get the benefits of 371 schemes of the State Government and the Central Government from a single building.
Till now there are about 196 camps in Bastar. We are going to convert 70 of these camps into similar service centers within one and a half years and make them centers for tribal welfare.
He said that tribal sisters and brothers have as much right to the government facilities as the people of Delhi, Mumbai and Ahmedabad. This is your government, and it is the responsibility of this government to bring happiness in your life.
This camp has been started for this very purpose. Naxalites spread this misconception for years that they took up arms because they did not develop, but this area did not develop because they were sitting with arms. Now he has surrendered and development has started.
Amit Shah said that we have started a program of complete education here. Sangh volunteers are teaching people to read and write here. When a resolution was taken to end Naxalism, its objective was to end Naxalism as well as to provide all the facilities in the lives of poor tribals which are available in big cities, so that your children can also get all those opportunities.
The Union Home Minister said that many tribal brothers and sisters, who had no fault of their own, became victims of ID blasts planted by Naxalites. Children were picked up from schools and taken to Naxalite camps. In the name of ‘people’s government’ many innocent people were hanged publicly.
The country became independent, but independence was not allowed to reach here. There was a time when 6 policemen were murdered here. Schools and hospitals were destroyed. Ration and employment were not allowed to reach the people and even the idea of a bank was far away. Today, a public service center is being built at the same place for the poor tribal brothers and sisters.
This land is like a pilgrimage for every citizen of India. This is the birthplace of martyr Veer Gundadhur ji. The brave tribal leader Gundadhur ji had united the tribals of Bastar against foreign rule. Taking inspiration from them, this security center, which earlier used to protect the people, will now serve the public by becoming a service center.
