7 stages of confusion

According to Bhagavad Gita, Shri Krishna has said that a state of confusion can lead to the downfall of a person. Confusion begins with difficulty in choosing a subject, which later turns into attachment, desire, anger, confusion and loss of intelligence. Let us understand what each step says.

1. Thinking again and again –When a person thinks about a luxury item again and again, that item gets settled in his mind. That means the person starts getting attached to that thing. This is the first stage of man’s fall.

2. Attachment –When a person thinks about the same object again and again, he becomes attached to it. He starts considering that thing as his own. This attachment later becomes the cause of sorrow.
3. Desire –Due to attachment, desire or desire arises in the mind of a person. After this his mind becomes restless to get that thing.

How to get rid of confusion?

In Bhagavad Gita, Shri Krishna has said that confusion can be controlled only when a person controls his mind and emotions. This has been mentioned in the seventh verse of Chapter 6 of Bhagavad Gita.

The Supreme Self is concentrated in the tranquil of the conquered soul.
in cold and heat, in pleasure and pain, and in honor and dishonour.

The meaning of this verse is that one who has conquered his mind, gets freedom from confusion. Such a person can face even difficult situations with a calm mind. Overall, every person should control his mind. Only then will he be able to come out of confusion and take the right decision.
