Indigo Flight Canceled From Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Indigo Flight Canceled From Chhatrapati Sambhajinagr | There is an important news for the air travelers in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. IndiGo Airlines has decided to temporarily suspend city-based Goa flights and evening Hyderabad flights from June 16 to September 30, 2026. The decision is likely to affect tourism, industry and regular air passengers.

Interestingly, IndiGo launched the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar-Goa flight in July 2024, which was well received by passengers. Through this service, which runs thrice a week, passengers were reaching Goa in just two hours. Hence the service became popular for tourism and business travel. Currently, IndiGo operates a daily morning flight to Hyderabad and an evening service 4 days a week. However, the Goa service will be completely stopped from June 16, and the evening Hyderabad flight will also be temporarily stopped. The airlines have informed the Airports Authority of India (AAI) that only the morning Hyderabad service will continue.

There is a discussion in the aviation sector that the increasing fuel price and operational costs are the main reasons behind this decision. Although IndiGo officially gave the reason as “operational requirements”, increasing aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices are believed to have increased financial pressure on airlines. Meanwhile, Civil Aviation Committee (ATDF) chairman Suneet Kothari has expressed concern that the decision may have a negative impact on the city’s tourism and industrial sectors. Passengers going to Goa or Hyderabad in the evening may now have to travel via Mumbai, so a request will be made to IndiGo to resume these services once the situation improves, he said.
