Questions on 46 calls in Twisha Sharma case, demand for CBI investigation
In the case of Twisha Sharma’s suspicious death, the father has expressed fear of conspiracy by releasing a list of 46 mobile numbers. The family claims that several calls were made to influential people and CCTV technicians after the death.
Bhopal: In the case of suspicious death of Twisha Sharma, new questions have now arisen regarding the call detail records. The deceased’s father has claimed that the day after the incident, her mother-in-law and former district judge Giribala Singh made continuous calls to many influential people, judges and CCTV technicians. Calling it suspicious, the family has demanded a CBI investigation into the matter.
Fear of conspiracy increased due to call detail records
In the case of Twisha Sharma’s death, the family has made public 46 mobile numbers linked to the call detail record (CDR). The deceased’s father alleges that the very next day of the incident, her mother-in-law Giribala Singh called many influential people and officials.
The family claims that the purpose of these calls may be to influence the case. Terming this entire incident as suspicious, he has raised the demand for an impartial investigation.
Claim to call judges and CCTV technicians
According to the father of the deceased, a number included in the list is said to be that of Additional District Judge (ADJ), which was contacted several times on May 13. Apart from this, another number has also been claimed to be of an officer associated with a major investigation agency of the state.
The family also alleged that the call details included numbers of people who had installed CCTV cameras in the house. He says that this has increased the possibility of tampering with CCTV footage.
Questions were also raised on CCTV footage and statements
In this case, it was said earlier also that there was a difference in the timing of the CCTV footage and the statements of the people concerned. Cyber experts had also expressed the need for forensic investigation of the footage.
Now after the call records have surfaced, the deceased’s family has alleged that there may be an attempt to influence the evidence. On this basis, he has demanded that the matter be investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation.
The body was found on May 12
It is noteworthy that on May 12, the body of 33-year-old Twisha Sharma was found hanging in Katara Hills area of Bhopal. The family has accused the husband and in-laws of murder.
Police have registered a case of dowry death and harassment against husband Samarth, mother-in-law Giribala Singh and others. A six-member SIT has been formed to investigate the case, which is investigating all aspects.
